The Snow-covered of Toluca: The Xinantécatl (the word means "naked man" in Náhuatl) is considered as a holy mountain, because among its lagoons they have done important archaeological discoveries: vegetable fibers, resins, wood and basketry found, providing important information about the rituals made by pre-Hispanic cultures. The contrast produced by the stones of this enormous colossus with greenish crystal and blue waters of the lagoons of the Sun and Moon is just wonderful. The protected area covers an extension of 51,000 hectares, populated by opossums, prairie wolf, reptiles, squirrels, rabbits, rodents and birds. In this environment dominated by pines, oaks and grassland trails there are countless high mountain biking and ATV tours and horseback to reach the top of the fourth highest formation of Mexico.

Lagunas de Zempoala, "place of much water", is formed by seven lakes, of which only two are permanent, the others are dry. The forest surrounding houses pines, firs and oaks, incite to enjoy nature and tranquility that aspires to see the scenery where blue hues of its waters are combined with various greens of the surrounding forests. The park is ideal for rest to profit the time to practice climbing on nearby peaks, camping or boating and some water sports allowed. Fishing is prohibited. There is in this park a small museum, which exhibits samples of flora, and diagrams, which illustrate the formation of gaps.

Mariposas Monarca, (this place is shared with the stato of Michoacán). The season of the monarch butterfly and its arrival at the winter habitat begins during the last days of October, setting numerous groups or hibernating colonies remaining there until the first months in the following year (mid-March) when temperature begins to rise. This is how monarchs interrupt their break sexually to mature and begin to mate and then, to return to the northern territories of the continent. It has high strength and can travel up to 4000 kilometers from Canada to the forests of firs in Mexico. It hibernates in the states of Mexico and Michoacan. Most hibernation sites have been included in the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve. These shrines were declared in 2008 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Parque Nacional Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl, (shared with the states of Morelos and Puebla. The park is located in the foothills and cones of the Sierra Nevada surrounded by beautiful landscapes and forests of pine, oak and fir inhabited by white-tailed deer, mountain hens and rabbits, among many other species. In the worldview of the old indigenous cultures of ancient Mexico these volcanoes were considered living things, with a divine and heroic protagonist past. The park protects an area of 39 819 ha, and it gets its name from these two famous mountains: Popocatepetl, which in Náhuatl means "hill that smokes" (popoca, that smokes and tepetl, mountain, hill or mountain), and the Iztaccihuatl, "white woman", (iztac, white, cíhuatl woman), which are the second and third highest peaks in the country. These giants, which stand between history and legend, have been, from immemorial time, the quintessential image of the Mexican landscape.

Valle de Bravo, (Pameje in Mazahua language) is a Mexican town of the state of Mexico, located at 156 km of the southwest of Mexico City. In 1971 it was named “Typical City” and “Magical Town” in 2005. It’s a part of the Hydrological Region of Balsas River, one of the largest in the Valley of Mexico, and which provides a range of environmental services.

Its main attraction is the dam or pond, where people practice a big variety of water sports and risk. The place is known for its typical and traditional architecture of the colonial time that attracts many tourists. It is a place between mountains and center of several sports such as mountain biking, cross-country motorcycling (motocross, quad), gliders, paragliders and hanglider (Delta wings) and horseback riding, which can be practiced in a highly recommended place with magnificent landscapes. Also, fishing, sailing races and water skiing are practiced in the lake. Moreover, the village also has three championship golf courses of eighteen holes.
